Julia Wilk joins Alliance Residential as Managing Director for the Northern California region

SAN FRANCISCO (September 8, 2026) – Alliance Residential Company is proud to announce that Julia Wilk has joined the company as the new Managing Director for the Northern California region. Wilk will lead the origination, financing, and development of multifamily communities across the Bay Area.

“Julia brings deep Bay Area relationships, disciplined underwriting, and a proven ability to navigate some of the most complex entitlement environments in the country,” said Kim Bucklew, Managing Director of the Southern California division at Alliance Residential Company. “Her track record of developing transformative multifamily communities makes her the right leader to build on the strong foundation we have established in Northern California.”

“I’m thrilled to join Alliance Residential and continue growing the Northern California pipeline,” said Wilk. “Alliance’s vertically integrated platform and multi-brand approach give me the tools to deliver high-quality communities that meet the diverse housing needs of Bay Area residents, and I’m looking forward to building on the team’s momentum.”

Wilk brings more than a decade of multifamily development experience to Alliance. Most recently, she served for 13 years as managing director of Wood Partners, a top three multifamily developer and operator, overseeing multiple California offices. During her tenure, she managed the full project life cycle – from acquisitions through financing, design, and construction – for approximately 2,500 multifamily units and 80,000 square feet of commercial space, representing more than $1.3 billion in construction value. Notable projects include a $172 million adaptive reuse of a historic San Francisco college campus into a 330-unit community with a public park and community arts center; a $149 million, 309-unit coastal San Diego development with 5,000 square feet of retail space, and a $125 million, 344-unit community with 1,500 square feet of retail space in the Inland Empire.

Wilk holds a Master of Landscape Architecture and Regional Planning with a certificate in real estate design and development from the University of Pennsylvania, a Master of Arts in early modern history from University College Dublin, and a Bachelor of Arts with distinction in history from Yale University.
