Education and Celebration at the 2013 National Workshop & Awards

Alliance held its eighth annual national workshop February 19-21 at the Sheraton Phoenix Downtown Hotel. Senior Vice Presidents, Vice Presidents, Regional Managers, Directors of Facilities and Business Managers from all regions gathered to learn about new developments with Alliance programs while building relationships with co-workers and vendors. Management Division CEO/President and Keynote Speaker Jim Krohn kicked off the event with an inspiring presentation on Alliance’s core values, vision and direction, and our companywide commitment to uncompromising performance. During the workshop, breakout educational sessions focused on:

  • Alliance performance and incentive programs, including the performance metrics and benchmarks used
  • Yardi, PC Support and Ancillary Services
  • Alliance University and Alliance Talent
  • Alliance Resident Works, Marketing and Demographics
  • Safety, Sustainability and Community Evaluations

A vendor tradeshow was also held throughout the day, so that Alliance associates could stop by to learn more about our vendor partners and what they offer. At lunchtime, associates took a break from learning to grab a bite and network, and were treated to an Alliance InStyle fashion show performance introducing our new spring/summer color for career apparel.

After hours that same day, we all gathered to celebrate our national award winners at the “2012 Year of the Dragon” banquet (complete with traditional Chinese dragon dance performances). This annual event honors the best of the best at Alliance, recognizing outstanding properties and individuals for their contribution to the continued growth and success of our company. Hosted by Alliance TV’s Ashley Shields and Jeff Krohn, 21 teams, 35 operations associates and six development associates were recognized throughout the night in a variety of awards categories.
