Alliance Residential Co. Named For the First Time as a “Best Place to Work” in Texas for 2017

Alliance Residential Company, the largest multifamily developer and seventh largest multifamily manager in the nation, has been recognized for the first time as one of the 2017 Best Companies to Work for in Texas.

The statewide survey and awards program, a project of Texas Monthly, the Texas Association of Business (TAB), Texas SHRM and Best Companies Group, is designed to identify, recognize and honor the best places of employment in Texas, benefiting the state’s economy, workforce and businesses. Associates who join the team often remain at Alliance, thanks largely in part to the company culture and performance-driven environment throughout the 35 regional offices in the West, Southwest, South-Central, Southeast, Mid-Atlantic and Northeast.

Since opening the first Texas office in Houston in 2002, Phoenix-based Alliance has opened three additional offices in Dallas, Austin and San Antonio. With over 627 associates, Alliance is actively adding value to the Texas market by investing in the economy and its residents with 66 properties and over 20,000 units.

“We are thrilled to be recognized for this award for the first time since opening our offices just a few years ago,” said Stephanie Nascimento, Senior Vice President of Operations (Central/Southeast). “At Alliance, we strive to build a family-like environment and at the same time promote an innovative culture. We empower our employees to be successful and provide them with the necessary tools to thrive, which plays a major factor in the happiness of our team.”

Alliance sees the value in investing in their associates, even before day one, and offers one of the only dedicated corporate talent acquisition teams in the industry.

“We look for associates who want to be part of a growing industry, have an entrepreneurial spirit and are invested in expanding our company,” said Greta Schneider, Vice President of Talent Management. “Our ability to attract and retain top talent contributes directly to our consistent growth, standard of excellence, entrepreneurial environment and industry-leading initiatives.”

Among the many benefits offered, Alliance associates value the opportunity for advancement within the company. This year alone, Alliance expects to promote over 500 associates. Other benefits include an institutional focus on professional development with Alliance University, rental discounts, sales contests, and — consistently one of the most-appreciated perks — Alliance InStyle which provides associates with stylish career apparel options from brand-name retailers.

The one thing all Best Companies have in common is their employees happily share why they love working for their employer. Associates respond to an in-depth Employee Engagement and Satisfaction Survey focused on leadership, culture and communications, work environment, training and development, pay and benefits, among other qualities.

The list of the 100 Best Companies to Work for in Texas and how they rank will be revealed for the first time at the Texas Association of Business (TAB) Best Companies to Work for in Texas Awards Dinner and Celebration on March 23.
